During the early hours of the morning, the discovery of two lifeless bodies inside a vehicle marked a tragic turn of events. Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan shed light on the situation, revealing that this was a case of domestic-related murder-suicide. The young woman, identified as Gisela Pierce, a 20-year-old hailing from Los Angeles, California, was found inside the vehicle, having suffered a fatal gunshot wound. Tragically, she was pronounced dead at 10:40 A.M. The male involved was identified as 25-year-old Nathaniel Janik, a resident of Columbus, Georgia. He was found adjacent to the vehicle’s tires with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Janik’s death was pronounced at the same time, 10:40 A.M., confirming his passing as a suicide. Around 10:10 a.m., the university received information about a “gun-related incident” near Lenoir Annex on the Main Campus, according to their official statement.
