Obituary And Funeral Arrangements

The Blanchard Fire Department has shared that Jake Reid’s funeral will take place at the First Baptist Church in Blanchard on Thursday at 10 a.m. On Wednesday, there will be a special procession escorting him from Oklahoma City to his hometown. This procession will begin at 10 a.m. Other police, fire, or EMS units can join in when it reaches the intersection of Highway 9 and US 62.

The planned route for the procession is along US 62, passing through Newcastle and heading into Blanchard. It will turn right onto Main Street, then right again onto N10th Street, followed by a turn onto Council. From there, it will head north to 25th Street before finally making its way back to Jake’s home.

For those in the community who would like to show support to Jake’s family, you are welcome to line the route and be present during the procession. Your presence would mean a lot to them during this difficult time.
